"My daughter Jaiden started skateboarding in June of this year (2020). Due to the inherent dangers and potential injuries associated with the sport, I initially enrolled her in lessons with a company that shall remain nameless. After two months of lessons from an instructor of that "renowned" company, with the exception of the correct way to stand on a skateboard, Jaiden learned almost nothing. Fortunately, that all changed when she started one on one lessons with Mike! After nine 30 minute lessons with him, my daughter's ability and confidence has skyrocketed after each and every lesson! If you are looking for the best skateboard instructor in all of the land....Hydro Mike is your man! Since our oldest son started skating this year, Mr. Mike has truly made a huge impact on Brandt's life in such a short period of time. Building his confidence and skill level, truly supporting and challenging him every lesson. Hydro Mike is not only is an amazing skater, he is patient, kind and a huge influence on so many. I started skating at 6 years old. My Dad and I met Hydro Mike when I was 8. Soon after we met Mike, he started giving me lessons every Saturday morning for at least 2 years. I got to tell you, his patience, his attention to detail, his overall attitude is unmatched. I could get stubborn and grumpy, he taught me to keep my control and understand learning new tricks can take some time and a lot of practice. Those lessons and discipline I learned early on in my life were so important and still are. I highly recommend lessons from Hydro Mike not only to learn from a great skater but also from a great human being. -Have fun and skate every day!!!

My 8 year old son started training with Hydro a little more than three months ago with a small background in skateboarding. The amount of progress he has made in this amount of time is astonishing. Calvin was six years old when he first met Mike. With Mike’s encouragement, Calvin had just been learning skateboarding for less than six months when he participated in a skateboarding competition. Because of Mike’s coaching and mentorship, Calvin improved his skill dramatically. Mike did not only teach Calvin skills to become a street and transitional skateboarder, but most importantly, Mike taught Calvin to be patient through skateboarding.
